About Me

Homeopath & Counsellor

I am a registered homeopath (RSHom) and BACP registered counsellor with MSc in pluralistic counselling and psychotherapy. Although I offer both separately, I am continually learning how a combination of both informs my practice as a homeopathic counsellor or a counselling homeopath! Whether you are coming with a physical complaint or an emotional, mental or behavioural issue, my experience highlights how mental health and physical health are intrinsically connected – we cannot work with one part without considering the other. Together, we can access a variety of evidenced methods to bring wholeness and alignment on all levels of your being.

My early training as a chemist (BSc Hons, MPhil) and over 20 years of clinical experience as a homeopath inform my understanding of each individual body as dynamic energy, coexisting in a wider ecosystem of energies.  I bring quantum perspectives, elemental mapping of the periodic table as well as traditional wisdoms including use of chakras, A Course in Miracles and intuitive meditation to support and meet you in our collaborative endeavour.

Clients often remark how I meet them from a heart-centred place and with a capacity for deep listening and awareness. My experience shows that this matters.

Lifestyle and preventative medicine are important aspects of my practice. I can offer practical wellness advice regarding nutrition, fasting, sleep, breathwork, menstrual cycle tracking and how to use homeopathy at home for first aid and acute situations.

Nature inspires and sustains me every day. I am registered with the Climate Psychology Alliance and am actively involved in practices that connect me to our Earth. I offer outdoor sessions in local parks, woodland or coastal areas for those who are keen to be nourished by nature.

Currently a student member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), I work within their ethical framework and aim towards full accreditation in due course. I adopt an evidence-based approach as well as my own therapeutic style of relating. With the support of regular supervision and CPD events I am committed to ongoing learning.

Stories From My Clients

“The talk about the menopause was really helpful. It definitely has changed my way of thinking and I am glad of the time I am now taking for myself to manage my time through menopause more holistically (my family are glad too!). Goodbye HRT, welcome in homeopathy!”

“Paula has listened to me patiently, like a priest in confession. She has counselled me, guided me, held my hand, steered me as necessary - but always with gentle words, and utmost respect for my situation. Her non-judgemental attitude, her openness, her understanding (beyond the realms of homeopathy) of soul/life work, have held me safe and supported through life’s challenges. Paula has allowed me to work at my pace, with my agenda, listening to my needs, and yet maintaining clear boundaries and clarity. The homeopathic prescribing has been a bonus!“

“I was slightly sceptical of how effective alternative & complementary therapies could be as I am a trained nurse whose education is based on scientific approaches to health. However, after around 2 years of troublesome dermatitis, and frequent use of steroids with limited effect, I decided it was worth a try. Within a few days of receiving your remedies, my dermatitis [had] improved significantly. But what has delighted me most is that my skin has not deteriorated since then. It has become dry at times but can be easily managed using my normal moisturiser. It has not become too red & itchy, and it has not broken down in the last 6 months.”

“I have been consulting Paula for the past 7 years. Homeopathic medicine has helped me through my chronic experience of IBS & panic attacks and I am grateful for all the times when Paula has been at the end of the phone line to advise and reassure me in times of crisis. Homeopathy has helped when I could not tolerate the side effects of my previous medication. It took my a long time to let go of those pills but now I only use homeopathy – and it works !”
